Last year was Barbie's 50th birthday. this cake was made by someone and showcased in last year's Perth Royal Show.
Its a very lovely cake. somehow its matches the upcoming valentine's day. everything is pink. LOL! coincidently, valentine's day is also the lunar new year.
first time spending CNY away from home. will be missing all the fun and the goodies and missed one reunion dinner and will be missing the other. for the seek of my future and the hopes of doing well for this crucial six months.

i detest rich brats. then again, they aren't the ones who are rich. the parents or family are the ones. the brats are just living off them. they do not know the value of money. they buy material goods either to not lose face or to show off. they do not even work for the goods. all they ever do is stretch out their hands and ask for it. if they do not get their way, they throw tantrums or make lots of noise till the parents agree to it.

hate this people. in addition, they think that they are all high and mighty. they go around accusing people. saying "someone or somebody" but why is it that they don't think they could be the one.

argh! if you want to accuse someone else and the person happens to be within sight, say it in front of the person. unless you're afraid you might get shot down.

if manslaughter wasn't a crime, all these people ought to be gone first.

i need to vent my frustrations.

i hate spoil brats, just because your family is rich, you think money can buy everything. you can't buy a family with money.

if you miss your grandson soo much, why bother sending him overseas. just let him rot in singapore if he cannot make it through singapore's education system.

the moment you send him away, you should understand that you won't have the same privilege as in singapore.

he will never learn if he you spoil him too much. he doesn't even know how to wash the utensils properly. just because the internet bill went up to 100 plus, you want him to have his own internet. what makes you so sure him alone won't jack up the bill.

he is the one who does not understand a thing because you spoil him. he was the one who downloaded the most. downloading 3 gigs worth of game not once but thrice.

he isn't the only who has to pay the bill. its spilt four ways so all pay the same amount even though some of us don't use as much internet. WTF!

went freo with eiko yesterday to look for gifts for the secret Santa.

we kept getting derailed but we managed to get gifts at the end.

had two donuts from the market yesterday and it was awesome.

saw a shirt from jayjays but did not get it. haiz.

going harbourtown next saturday. will be able to get it if i'm meant to. lol.

39 days to christmas.

it is also the day which i land in singapore. hot and humid singapore.

well, apparently it is not as hot now. it has been raining back in singapore. hopefully, the weather would be cooler when i get back.

i will be spending my first summer here. hate the flies. they just won't die.

anyways, started typing the materials and methods. but haven't updated them so i have to do it soon. need to read more journal papers so that i can hopefully start writing on the literature review.

i need to do my weekly summary but no. i'm touching it bit by bit.

eiko submitted her thesis on friday. after 2 weeks of rushing, no sleep, camping in the office, and what not, its over and she's alive. so we're going to eat churros to celebrate her submission.

went for dim sum with simon and eiko today. ate at "i think" its called Jade something. its not that bad. the fried squid was good. the almond jelly was not almond jelly. it does not have the almond taste and its just eating jelly. each person 15 bucks. i think its rather okay???

after which, simon drove to myaree. they had to buy fruits and vegetables. i needed fruits. we went to Limes. the veggies there are huge.

also bought half a cheesecake from The Cheesecake shop. its chocolate cheesecake or something like that. full.

i found out that dogs love chocolates. oscar gate-crashed into the house and stole some of aunty pris's chocolates and was eating it in the cozy corner.

as the title said, i officially have the results monkey from the office.

why?

i made a silly mistake today.

i had contamination in my culture because i did not autoclave the dextrose. therefore i had to make new culture to grow my bacteria.

took 2 2L flask and made 1L of YPD. followed the protocol and added agar into the mixture.

only realised that i added agar when i was in the toilet and when i had put the culture in the autoclave.

had to remake the YPD media again. this time made sure that i did not add agar.

had to make more plates. almost added NaCl. good time i realised before i weighed more.

was really sad/disappointed with myself. but i have to make a note on my labbook.

remember to autoclave or filter sterilise all media whether its is added before or after.

i want to laugh at myself. i should sleep more.

unlucky month. spoilt and made a number of mistakes in three consecutive weeks.

tomorrow's the start of a new month. everything's going to be better.

i'm back though i doubt anyone reads it.
i had lots of fun yesterday. met april and aden after i have no idea how long it has been. made new friends, wei ling and diane (pronounced as di-ann) and the last time i went to april and aden's place, a girl called ka man. i cannot remember her name well.
we met at harbourtown and walked and shopped and ate. we had snow ice. yummy.
thereafter, we went to murray drive or street to utopia. wanted to sing karaoke for 3 hours or so but they were fully booked so we decided to head off for dinner at kai (located at parry ave). its a tiny tiny little shop. most of the food that we wanted were in the take-away menu so we took-away our food. diane bought marble mudcake for consumption during singing session.
they also bought jester pies. it was closing time so it was on sale. buy 2 and get 1 free.
had dinner at utopia and singing from 7pm to 2am.
april fetched me back and we entered by wintroph drive. i have to thank oscar cause he walked me on friday therefore i was able to direct april to my place.
went to bed around 2.30am but was awaken by the drilling or sawing from the neighbour. head hurts super bad. shall go back to sleep. i need to go iga to get stuff for pris.

3rd week

i should start updating again.

i'm into my 3rd week of honours and there are lots of application forms to fill in and submit. haiz.

more or less got the hang of things and what i'm working on.

there will be a mock/ rehearsal introductory seminar on friday. most probably in front of the group. i had better read up on my stuff in case they ask me lots of questions.

the actual seminar is on 1st sept. in front of the supervisors and the other honours student.

the end of the month is approaching which means that the poster presentation will be coming up. thereafter the seminar and then the arrival of mummy, daddy and mel. after that graduation and birthday bash.

hopefully i get to go back during christmas cuz i can't do that for chinese new year. the literature review is due on 16th feb. haiz. but its only for a year. work hard and get good results.

celebrated my 22nd birthday 2 weeks ago. we (hazel, chuan bee, michelle/s, nicole and i) went to outback jacks. ordered 3 challenge meal. the meat was 1 kg plus there was wedges and veggies. was filling but the stomach was not 100% full. had lychee yakult with aloe vera. nice. sweet. plus cakes. they bought 5 mini cakes and 2 "2" candles.

steak, a cup of lychee yakult and cakes made me super duber full that i didn't have dinner that night. never felt hungry the next day but still had my meals.

have been eating 3 meals every day. aunty pris packs breakfast and lunch for me to bring to school. its cold. i use up more energy to keep myself warm.

yup, i'm back for another year of school. continuing with my honours. must study? really hard.
school started yesterday. was so tired when i got there. why?
1. arrived at 11.30 pm on 20th july at perth international airport
2. left the airport at 12.30 am on 21st july
3. reached home at 1.00 am, 21st
4. unpacked and sent emails till 3.00 am
5. slept at 3.00 and woke up at 8.00 plus plus plus.
6. left house at 9.00 (was supposed to be in school at 9 am)
basically that's all. haha.
had pasta for dinner. meimei cooked cause aunty pris was bumped off her flight on the 20th so she came back only yesterday.

the first week of holidays is going to be over in 2 days. i would say rather productive. i guess i completed by plant biotech practical report. did mol gen. i can still continue over the weekend. meeting chuan bee and caleb to compile, edit or add stuff. have been watching shows and movie. i completed season 1 and 2 of the big bang theory in 2-3 days and how i met your mother season 4 can't remember. it's addictive. watched lots of movies too:

FINALLY.... after close to 2 weeks without internet. it has finally arrived. SAVED!!
i now understand life without internet. you could die. there's nothing you can do, considering there is nothing to do in perth already or australia as a whole after 5pm. going to print my notes now and head to school in 45 minutes.

the weather now it's HOT, especially in the afternoon. it's supposed to be autumn but it feels like summer. for the past few saturdays, since i arrived, the weather is terrible.

Hellooooooo People,
Yup, back in perth. already miss home. the food. hanging out with friends. staying out till late. arh. everything.
yesterday, auntie christina brought pris, shaunie and i to kushinbo for dinner. couldn't make it on thursday otherwise, darrell is able to join us. basically, we had lots of fun and ate yummy japanese buffet. will post up the pics later.
woke up at 5am (Singapore time), took the 9am flight. reached perth at 2.55pm (perth). earlier than scheduled. got out of customs at 3 plus. waited really long for my luggage to come out. haiz. the arrival hall. waited and waited. at 4pm, i called aunty pris and aunty pris was at home. she did not come to pick me up cause mummy did not ask to do so. mummy only send my itinery over. LOL. so took a cab home. then i think when i was bring my luggage into the house, it sort of rolled over (don't know what happened), basically, my big toe started bleeding. lots. did not realized till i went to the toilet. yup. had to cut my nail. there's a line a cross. the part which got dettached from the flesh. that sort. unpacked. unpacked rather fast. i think. whatever. aunty pris has a new student in the house. now i'm bored. will upload pics for the new year. haha.

shiro is the white maltese at cashew nut house. heard from aunty christina, she was so excited after we left, the owners had to calm her down. she is super cute. she doesn't bark and is not afraid of strangers.

funfilled weekend

went to rottnest on friday. went hazel, chuan bee, nicky, serene and sarah at 8.30 and took 98 to freo. took a speedboat like thingy to rottnest. it's awesome. the journey here was on par with speedboat. went cycling and there was lots of uphill and we rented a single gear bike. hahaha.
silly me stopped at the slope (while going up) and i fell and injuried myself. before we left for the harbour, we went to "into" the water. OMG!!! it HURTS!!!!
saturday, we went swan valley. first we went to margaret river brothers (or something like that), bought CHOCOLATES!!!! then we went to eat ice-cream (i think), sparkling wine (bought 1 back - it only cost AUD$7), monod's nougat but bought rum ball instead. it was DELICIOUS!! the rum was made from swan valley rum. wine tasting, to the park and lastly DINNER. had pizza at LITTLE CAESARS. we ordered 5 pizzas and 2 dessert pizzas. ordered"

it's week 12. exams in 5 weeks and there are lots of DEADline to meet.
forensic toxic lab started last week. it's so different from the labs in poly. we have to take our own apparatus and the demonstrators just leave you to carry out the practical. they will show how to use certain instruments/ analysis (whichever). then we have to wash up and keep the apparatus back. there will be 3 more lab session for forensic toxic and tomorrow is the last lab for bioprocess. YESH!! we're finally harvesting our algae. there are growth ??? the figures vary but there is beta-carotene production. after that, there is a report. argh!!
have to finish up website but need to complete my report on the hammer case.
after much thought and advice from everyone and anyone, i have decided not to do the upgrade test. like escaflowne said, (can't remember much but along this line) - if you're confident you can do well then do if not concentration on the other paper??
serene jiejie said why not take the risk afterall i'm given 2 chances.
mummy is in between escaflowne and serene jiejie. so i asked aunty pris and she said, " if you pass then don't bother doing it again. focus on the last paper."

in 22 hours or so (if i calculated correctly), we'll be at the royal perth show. was supposed to go on Saturday but was postponed.
have been living in darkness for the past few days. wait. it's less than that. the light bulb in my room fused on friday. but everyone was out on friday so could not ask anyone to change. then saturday accompanied nicky to watch a play at uwa. her friend's acting as one of the "superheroes" then went back to pack a change of clothes before heading over to nicky's place for pizza. ordered 2 pizzas and watched the Simpsons and She's the man. so i could not change the bulb again. besides, they were busy that day. reached home around 8pm yesterday, after we made the cake and left it to refrigerate. had subway for lunch plus dinner and watched happy feet. there was no one at home when i got back.
someone went to the royal perth show. there were showbags on the table. actually there's only 2 - fizz kidz and cadbury.
just received bad news. the cheese did not settle or harden after being left in the fridge overnight and now they floated onto the surface. going to get ingredients again and try making another.

just got home an hour ago. went over to nicky's place for dinner.
rather glad that i was over at nicky's cause there was a gathering between the kor kor and jie jie with their girlfriend/boyfriend. by the time i reached, they just finished dinner. 2nd kor kor (Joel kor kor) did not work today so i guessed he cooked???
going to get down to do my work. first i should go and read some tabloids. (nicky will know what i'm talking about)
have to settle my own dinner for the next 2 weeks. try not to be at home so they do not have to cook my share. anyways, next week is week 9 (non-teaching week). have to study for forensic toxic. there's plenty to study.
this saturday we're going for the royal perth show. YAY!!!! a good way to de-stress after biochem test 3. had bioprocess mid-sem last week. there is 13 questions and there can be more than 1 answwer for the mcq.
the chemostat project has finally started and i'm the only person in the group who knows how to operate the timer. damn, for playing around with the instruments. argh. going to listen to lectopia and take down as much notes for the adulterants lecture. i'm having a headache and the weather is becoming cold again.

Oo. found someone who wants to go running. chuan bee was telling me she bought a pair of sports shoes for AUD$70 and was thinking of going running. i was happy when i heard that. have been meaning to run but there is no place to do that. plus i'm looking for an accessory which i can strap my ipod to and run. i have a "ka kee" to go running. then she asked if i have shoes, i told her i brought 2 pairs of shoes over (excluding the one i wore when i came over).
the weather is pms-es? last weekend, it was windy and rain. this week, it's lovely. i hope the weather stays like that. it's warm during the day but a bit cold at night.
must discuss with chuan bee and plan a day to go running. i should be discipline and get up early on sunday.
half the day is gone on sunday cause i wake up at 10 plus 11. laze around. by the time, i get to bathe and have "lunch", it's already 1 plus.
bioprocess mid-semester is this thursday and there is biochemistry next monday.

Oo. one of my groupmate for bioprocess was burgled last week. was told on friday while waiting for the bus to take us to murdoch station. the burglers broke into the house at 4am. initally he thought it was his drunken roommate but his door got kicked down or something like that. everything was stolen. it's scary!
had tiramisu for teabreak. aunty pris's friend made it. not bad. just the coffee cake (last layer) was soggy but the cream was nice. it had 2 big strawberries on top. the strawberries are YUMMY!
hate BPS. BPS was designed by my bioprocess lecturer. it's a stimulation of a bioreactor.

went to king's park last friday. pictures for the picnic is found on facebook. and played paintball on saturday.
paintball is fun but it hurts when the ball hits you. got shot 6 times. 2 was during the games and the other 3 was during the no friends game ( i think). got shot twice at the back. i have a pair of eyes. 2 on my knee and 1 on my thigh. the one on the thigh has become a big purple thing.
woke up with muscle aches on sunday and had to study for biochem test.
finished watching forensic heroes 2 BUT! everything has a BUT! the most crucial episode is missing!
been busy with bioprocess assignments. an assignment which makes up 10 out of 100 took me more than 1 week to complete. technically, i'm still trying to finish it.
there are 3 assignments for bioprocess due on thursday. OMG! i'm sleepy! fell asleep during forensic toxic today. actually all 4 of us fell asleep. somehow today's lecture is boring BUT it is important because there is an essay question for this topic: HAIR and URINE ANALYSIS.
yesterday's lecture was on Plutonium and Polonium.
Polonium210 is found in cigarettes and in causes cancer.

into the fifth week of school (non-teaching week) and it's spring.
busy with assignments. have to study for biochem module 2 test (next monday).
been 1 month and 5 days since i came.
was supposed to go over to nicky's place yesterday to make dessert. sadly, i woke that morning feeling light-headed and had a really bad stomachache or cramps? dunno which but it shouldn't be cramps cause never had it before. went to the toilet and sat there for also an hour or so. after the whole saga, went back to bed and fell asleep. woke up around 11 plus close to noon. aunty pris was thought i went out. then i told her about the morning. had a piece of plain toast bread and 2 bowls of fried pasta noodles. watched abit of forensic heroes. then got down to study. fell asleep while studying. woke up. limited myself to 3 hours in front of the com before studying again. watched 2 episodes then carried on with bioprocess. worked till 11 pm. then studied.
woke up, went to school. discussed about the bioprocess and realised that i had to re-do again. could not be bothered to do it in school, so surfed the net for information on my murder mystery assignment. chuan bee and i went to the library and waited for nicky and hazel before heading to garden city so buy stuff for friday. going to king's park on friday for picnic. which meant that i have tuesday, wednesday, thursday (half a day), sunday to study. shall try to complete or complete most of the tasks for bioprocess today. even if i have to forgo my sleep. went to coles and bought cupcake mix. they were on sale. 2 for $7. stocked up on my stash. lol.
better get back to work.

Interesting Weekend

my weekend starts on friday. yup. friday - no school for now.
went to the city with nicky. walked in, browse, walk out. went to harbourtown, the same process. had shimizu for lunch then walked to the state library which is across the train station. went to the art museum. usually the museum is free admission but because it coincide with another exhibition "Art in Bloom", we paid an admission fee of AUD$5 (concession). Saw the pretty art pieces as well as flower displays. we didn't get to finish walking the entire museum cause we reached around 3 plus and the museum closes at 5pm. after we left, took some interesting places outside the museum and we walked back to haystreet or murray street. entered some stores. one was the shoe show. it's this shop underground that sells shoes. lots of heels and it was not very expensive. went into NOVO. Escaflowne, you may want to go to the website to see giselle's slippers cause i can't find havianas with strap. went into LIVE. nicky was hungry and i wanted to eat red rooster fries. searched for carilton or carillon foodcourt. i had large fries. nicky wanted to order the quarter chicken thingy but they ran out of chicken so she settled for cripsy fillet burger. she had to wait a long time for her food. so i went to look for a table. found a rather good spot cause the telly was there but they were airing footie. well, we just watched. after dinner, we went back cause we are meeting the next day to visit the Western Australia Museum.
Met at noon, michelle was supposed to come but she woke up with a cold. hence she did not join us. the bus took a long time to come. met at the station, took a train down. had american cheesy with bun, sweet chilli, tomato, steak sauce, BBQ sauce while nicky had another american sausage. walked to the overhead to the state library. then to the WA museum. they do not have an entrance fee. it's based on donation. we were in the museum till 4 plus going to 5. there were lots to see. had gelato. have to try the other flavours too. had butterscotch while nicky had apple. this time, eating ice-cream during winter did not feel as cold. after that, we went back. the shops close at 5pm today.

week 3 (tuesday)

had morning lecture yesterday. made an awesome discovery.
found out that Genevieve from IJ was there and she is taking biochem 2 too. she mentioned yuliana or juliana lau and mindy lee (can't remember their names) but if i see their face maybe i will.
was told by michelle that hazel was from IJ (TP) too. i was surprise. i never knew cause i have never seen her in school. have to ask if she was from IJ (Pri).
wow, we were in the same school in secondary, and she's my senior in NYP and now in murdoch uni.
lesson ended at 1.30pm, chuan bee and i went to upload our result for CBLA. we were hungry but couldn't decided where to eat. then thought of the vegetarian in kardinya. there isn't a price for the what you eat. You pay how much you want. it's like a donation. we (michelle, chuan bee, nicky and i) walked to kardinya, reached around 2.30 pm. sadly, the vegetarian is closed on monday and tuesday. by that time, we were starving. didn't know what else is there except for the kardy fish and chips. then michelle said there is a jap store nearby. so we walked to coles (which is across - cut through the huge carpark), then walked abit more. ta-da. Oops. didn't take pictures. looked through the menu, ordered our food, talked, food arrived, ate, paid then left.
went to the oriental supermart. then to coles cuz michelle needed to do grocery shopping. i bought chicken in a biskit.
reached home around 4 plus 5. got down to doing my tutorial. had chicken rice for dinner. no pictures. lol. read thru forensic toxic, then slept. had 10 hours of sleep.
had kecture from 12.30 to 1.30 pm. left only about 1.47 pm (around there). roar!! there is no way to contact my other group members. the email i sent was returned. luckily one left her number. must compose my message then send over. better do so this week. it's the 3rd week. in the 5th week (starting 1sept) - non-teaching week. so no school. have to study for biochem module 2 test.

OMG!!!
test is over but haiz!!! hope i can pass. 25 mcq.
suffering from a cold since last week. from last wednesday till yesterday, have been sleeping past midnight - studying and trying to complete my assignment. assignment was extended till wednesday. going to sleep early tonight. but first must complete the online exercise. that constitute 1 mark of the overall.
need to start studying for the other modules. this weekend will be going out. cannot stay too long in the house. you'll go crazy.
need to get in touch with my groupmates for our mystery case assignment.
had lab last week. we do not have to submit our reports instead the lecturer marks us on the spot. he marks us according to how much we can show him when he comes to the group. LOL!
need to buy some snacks so i don't have to step out of my room during the weekends. that way aunty pris do not have to make me lunch.
on saturday, the heater broke down. according to aunty pris, there is something blocking the heater??? so for this week, we have to bathe quickly?????

mummy have been irritating me. she controls me so much since she left perth. always expecting me to be online to chat with her. reporting to her what i did. she also calls aunty pris for gods know what reason. for heaven's sake, i'm 21. let me be more independent and let me make my own decision. it's not like i've never been away from home.
i know what i came to do and i want to do it well. however, there's a time for me to study and a time for me to go out.
last saturday, she called me when i was at nicky's place. she went "where are you?","you have been out since afternoon"; "what are you doing there?"; "did you tell aunty pris you won't be going back for dinner?"; ya-dah ya-dah.
she also decided to buy over the printer but i'm fine with sharing. i may be doing the printing but think about the cost of the ink catridges and paper. you're already spending so much so send me here. i'll just save whatever i can. (nicky: if you're reading this, if aunty pris may call to tell you.
ARGH!!!!!!!!!! she don't let me make my own decision.
celebrated my birthday last week with nicky, michelle, hazel, chuan bee and caleb. went to the city and ate at arirang (spelling ????). nicky got me marble cheesecake from the cheesecake shop. guild members have discount.
had the cake cutting ceremony on sat. thereafter, chuan bee, michelle, nicky and i went fremantle. and then ......
got to go do work and study. there's a test next monday. won't be going out this weekend.

first day of school

school started yesterday. 2 modules started the lectures with housekeeping rules. had an hour of introduction for biochem 2 and lecture for the next hour. had to copy stuff. going to re-write them.
forensic toxicology is super interesting. from today's lecture, i learnt that most poisoners are mostly doctors or nurses. some are just psycho.
mum left when i came back, she had to be at the airport at 1 plus. but she bought food for me. had rice and kway teow for lunch. she also bought muffin for aunty pris and me.
the room fills a bit quiet cause mum was here for almost a week and now she's has gone back. i better hit the books. need to do well. mummy and daddy spend so much to send me here to study. just saw the muffin mummy bought. OMG! it look delicious. yummy!!
shall take a picture and see if i can post it. LOL!
tmr only have an hour lecture and home. oscar doesn't bark when i come in anymore. he sleeps but will sit up when he hears someone walking to the kitchen.
aunty pris just got back and she asked me to call mummy to check if she can check-in. mummy is in already, waiting for the gate to open. just went to wash my bowl and oscar is sleeping. chocolate muffin mummy bought

Aunty Pris dropped us at Perth City on Sunday. It was raining and uber cold. Walked around Haystreet and Murray Street. Bought my pre-paid optus card and a cup of cuppacino. walked and walked. bought a few stuff here and there. mum had macs for lunch. hardly felt hungry since coming here, maybe cause i have nothing to do yet????
went to school on monday to set-up my bank account and apply for the smartrider. went to look for John, the first thing he said when he saw us was: "Why aren't you guys at orientation?" He got some guy to bring us to ECL1 to listen to talks. Nicky fell asleep. Michelle was playing her DS. They were going to start a talk on nothing sure what was it, we decided to leave.
Michelle left to wait for her dad. Nicky, Mummy and I took a bus to Murdoch station then a train to Perth and Yellow CAT to Harbour Town. It's a bit like factory outlets. had japanese for lunch. apparently the restuarant was opened by Aunty Pris's Friends. left about 3 or 4 plus.
Orientation on Tuesday. Nicky overslept and I was a little late for the talk. It ended at 10 am. Michelle and I walked about before sitting outside the lecture theatre (where the next talk is held). met 2 others singaporeans there. they were ushers (i think). the second talk was about the support, security and every other thing. had free lunch (BBQ) - hotdog with sausage or vegetable patties. mingled with other students in the same faculty. met 2 other asians????
the talk given by the individual faculty is more interesting. they talked about the majors and minors, the different combinations etc. met the program chair for biotechnology. made an appointment to see her on thursday (today). there was another session, sat for 5 minutes. the moment the lady asked us to interact with the others, we took our bags and left. she was asking us to stay. there was dinner for international students that night. we decided to go but it doesn't start till 5.30 pm so nicky and i went back to aunty pris's place while michelle, chuan bee and caleb went back to SV. hazel left already.
initially, nicky and i did not know who hazel was. she knew us???? we met her and went for lunch together on tues and found out she was our senior and she was our OGL..
wed - went to school for half an hour to attend a talk on how-to-get-home-in-one-piece = Lab safety!! LOL!!! took a bus down to garden city to meet mummy. aunty pris dropped mummy at garden city and she came to pick us up at 2.30 pm.
thursday - went to meet carolyn jones (the program chair) at 11am but i met up with chuan bee and caleb first. she told us we had an option to replace genetics cause it clashes with bioremediation. so this semester i'll be taking bioremediation, biochemistry II and forensic toxicology. aunty pris brought nicky, mummy and i to eat vegetarian buffet (not bad). she dropped us at garden city. we bought a printer and other stuff. went back around 3 or 4 plus. rest, played burger rush and pizza game. had dinner. aunty pris cooked dinner early then fetched us to carousel for late night shopping. nicky bought her electric blanket, the usb cable to link to the com. walked and walked before buying cookies from cookies man. walked to the bus stop. there is direct bus back to the uni so waited for a short while and the bus arrived. sat all the way to the uni and walked back. reached home. we waited outside cuz oscar was there. he was not behind the white door. aunty pris was not home. did not dare enter, scared of him. we held onto the door cause according to nicky, he can slide open the door with his nose. knocked on big kor kor's window and he came out to put oscar behind bars before going back to his room.
that's all folks. need to sleep.

updating after sooooo long.
arrived in Perth at 0605 this morning. the plane arrived earlier than expected. mummy was chatting with aunty pris till 10 plus while i fell asleep. then set up the internet connection. must limit myself. internet here is more expensive and they count by how much you download. i miss the internet at home.
aunty pris and mummy have so much to talk. they have alot in common. they both line dance, like karaoke, learn tai chi and have 4 children. LOL!!
just realised that the speakers i brought over was usb. which means i have to turn on my com to use the speakers.
sort of unpacked. need to purchase some sort of paper thingy to line the cupboard. aunty pris is going to drop mummy and i at the city (haystreet) after that we take a bus back.
orientation is only 2 days so mummy and i can explore around and mummy can do some shopping as well as relax before she go back to the hectic working life. so going to miss her and the rest of the family.
when we were unpacking mummy's stuff, we realised that the body soap in mummy's luggage leaked. clothes around the bottle had soap on it. but it smelt nice so...
had fish head bee hoon and hokkien mee for lunch. really nice. got a calling card and mummy bought nougats today.came back and slept for 4 hours. woke up around 6 plus 7. chatted with pris (webcam) then had dinner. had dominos pizza. mummy and aunty pris still talking outside.
that's all we did today.

OMG!!!! i spend 400 plus bucks in a 1 to 1 and half hours. mummy say to treat it as a reward for working for 3 months.
i only bought 2 items: an ipod classic and a crumpler.
my heart's broken.
another thing: my contract has been extended for an half a month. official last day is 15 july 2008. leaving for perth on 26 july at 1.00 am (not very sure about the minutes but the hour is confirm) hahaha!
went onto the singapore flyer on tuesday. took many pictures but have yet to take the pictures out. will do it tonight after our father's day celebration. 12 of us went up the flyer. yay!! had so much fun. felt was ride was rather fast maybe cause we were busy taking pictures but the night scene was awesome. especially when you're at the highest peak.

finally decided to update after a gazillion years. wahahaha.
been slacking at home as well as going out. went out 4 days out of 7 days.
sent in my resume for some temporary job. need money.
i'm bored.
lots happened after exams.
28 feb - went to the zoo with Jiawen, Stephanie, Frannie. had dinner with other IJ friends as well as Frannie.
29 feb - frannie went back to melbourne. celebrated SERENE'S 24th birthday. she was so sad cause she thought her family got about her birthday but had a shock when she went to pick grandparents out for dinner that night. she did not expect the family and her friends to be there. played wii at grandma's place after everyone left. it was a short few hours but everyone enjoyed themselves. especially when serene smeared cream on Wesley's face. pictures for the celebration can be seen in mel and jodi's blog.
in early march, had an operation. success!
jiawen, donna and jess was shocked. met jiawen and donna the next day after the op. me look perfectly fine.
went back to NYP, visited steph at her graduation exhibition. the digital media people are good.
on the 21st, steph celebrated her 21st although her actual birthday is on the 27th. enjoyed ourselves.

for the first time, in all the presentation, i'll be presenting 5 slides. from 7 to 5. cause there is an aristocrat (one person). however, the aristocrat is being held by 2 or maybe 3 people.
according to the person who is compiling the powerpoint slides, asked everyone to edit their part so that the entire presentation is 20 minutes. he/she, it wrote in the email "especially" to the other 2 members in the group. when the other 2 are presentation slides which are countable within our ten fingers. (not combine; individual). while the other 3 has 8, don't know and don't want to know how many slides he/she, it is presenting and the last one probably has more than 10 slides. just cause you people slides are pictures?????
you want the spotlight, get one and shine on yourself.
it's a group project. either there's something wrong with your head or you don't understand the meaning of group project? which?
another thing that is going through my head is: do people become more stupid when they are attached?
not attacking anyone but it seems apparent in my project group.

KOREA

back from korea for 3 days. the weather here is hot. it didn't snow when we were there but it's snowing now. maybe cause it's was the begining of winter. wants to go back in jan to see SNOW.
SNOW: Rain plus temperature have to be sub-zero or below.
really enjoyed ourselves. took lots and lots of pictures. 3 cameras approximately 1000 plus??? for 8 days. did not take much on the last day.
skiing was fun but fell many times. body ached the next day.
went Lotte World and Everland. had to queue for a long time in Lotte. sat the thrill rides outdoor. it was freezing but nice. i love the uniform in Everland. the winter uniform. especially the male uniform. been telling escaflowne that i want to work in Everland.
meals everyday was steamboat or barbequed meat with rice, kimchi and everyother thing the koreans eat. it's winter so koreans eat alot of meat and steamboat. Korean Ginseng Chicken BimBiBak (spelling error), BBQ meat in Jeju and in Seoul (one of the meal) was the best.
Lotte World is a theme park where Korean drama filmed. Some Korean Drama filmed in Lotte: My Girl, All About Eve, StairWay to Heaven. there are lots more i think but these are some drama which we re-watched. We even went to the place where they filmed DaJangGeum and ate yummy STRAWBERRIES. it was sooo sweet. we also had kimchi making session and tried on korea's traditional costume.
we went lots more places. but lazy to type everything.
OVERALL: it was a really really good trip. had nice and friendly tour guide and leader, and tour mates.

the problem is between the 3 of you. settle it amongst youself. if the person does not want to settle, leave it as it is or settle everything once it's over. you don't have to drag someone else. by slamming someone else, you won't get ypur friend back. you were the ones who pushed your friends away. if you're not happy with me, say it to my face.

when we say send to the person by monday, there is no specific time to send, as long as it's sent before 12 am (tuesday)
people who do not understand this should die.
i'm not so free like you people who can afford to got dating whether it's during the weekdays or weekends. and yet you come up with unreasonable demands. having to make us send the slides over by morning. HELLO! people have other deadlines to meet.
by making us send it over in the morning, you're depriving us of the remaing time we can use to find more info.
so what if you have lessons till 8:30 pm. you can still compile the stuff when you reach home. you achieve your goals at the expense of others. making us send earlier, you can get in done faster, you get to sleep earlier or talk on the phone. wow! the rest are not humans. we do not need to sleep.

i have to give up my weekends while others just go out to have fun. especially on the weekends.

everyone have been telling me it's the last semester and is the most stressful last semester.
while we have SOOOO many pending projects, we have people disappearing and they will only reappear but the lesson starts. so if we were to hold a meeting for any projects, i have to make an appointment with them.
another reason why i want someone to shoot me is my group has 3 other people excluding me. one is a couple, the other is attached with a "pretty", working guy. these people disappears the moment we have a break. to hell they go.
my life seriously suck. they should have a rule to ban people from having a relationship.

public holiday

it's a public holiday. woke up at 11 plus cause slept late the day before. was trying to write my reflection for the talk we had last week.
mummy and daddy bought lunch back for the three of us. we had laksa. watched HSM: the concert, read newspaper while eating. even read proteomics lecture.
watched a few minutes of MISS USA. bathe and got ready. had to leave the house at 3.30pm. mel, escaflowne, mummy, aunty linda and i had signed up for cardiolatino. it was AMORE's open house. went for the promo. interesting. mummy knew the instructor cause she taught her one lesson on bellyblitz. had dinner at simei.
reached home at 7.00pm. read more proteomics and watched the remaining half hour of THE WILD. waited for HSM2: dance-a-long. read proteomics during the adverts.
so much stuff to do.
proteomics, sfg and pct test next week. sfg project. dd paper presentation. bioprocess intro. mbid tutorial. business management tutorial.
OMG! 2 hours of sfg lecture tomorrow.

had dinner with aunty florence, aunty wendy, mummy and jonathan at Charcol. a training ground for shatex students. quite reasonable. S$16.90 for 3 course meal; S$19.90 for 4 course meal. the portion may seem small but it's filling. did not take pictures. darn! forgot!
sat there. talked. aunty florence talked about her 2 grandsons. total opposites. that is why their mummy is always angry. apparently aunty florence always fall sick after she comes back from perth. aunty mala was supposed to come but she was unable to make it. they spectulate that she might be busy. left only at 10.
noticed that people say that i changed. used to introvert when i was younger but now able to converse with others. i don't think i changed much???
better start doing my work.

singaporeans are so inconsiderate.
yesterday, mummy brought us to AMKHub for dinner. daddy met us there. fish and co as well as new york new york so we went up to the foodcourt for dinner. was super crowded. luckily a famiy of three just finished eating and we were standing around there, we got the table. but the table can only accomodate 4 people.
the desigh of the foodcourt was 2 table of 4 seaters. the other table was occupied by a couple. the 2 empty chairs was occupied by their bag and laptop.
mel said "excuse me."
they continued eating. the lady was eating her stupid mushroom. the guy was totally ignorant. (me was observing them)
mel went " excuse me."
this time the lady looked up.
mel asked "is the seat taken?"
she shaked her head then continued eating. totally ignoring what we asked.
i said "go to the coffeeship and eat"
escaflowne went "the coffeeshop might be crowded too?"
i told her "at least we can find table to sit and eat"
we left the foodcourt. took the escalator down. mel cursed the couple to choke while eating. mummy said she could have told them off. their bags did not pay for sitting on the chair. mummy said that is why foreigners say singaporeans are RUDE!
in the end, i brought them to pizza hut. initally i lost my way. could not find the carpark. then walked further down abit and found. yay!
we tried the sambal pizza. not bad but abit spicy. went to ntuc in amkhub. spent hundred plus plus.
home sweet home.

just realised the world is SUPER DUBER small. WRONG! singapore is really small. apparently 2 friends of mine knew one classmate of escaflowne and one of them went stead with her classmate once. interesting!

the first week of school has ended.
the following weeks will be much much more hectic. equals to die early. haha!
projects for the different modules are known.
lots of journal papers to read.
went running this morning with mel. haiz. my timing is worst than the first time i ran. according to mel, stamina is lost in 2 days? cannot remember what she said but it's somewhere along that line.
went running with pris on wed. her 5 rounds equals to my 6 rounds. she has a year to train.
daddy bought us a skipping rope with weights so that we can have arm muscles. haha!
had 4 hours break today. came back home to sleep. super nice cause it was raining.
went back for an hour of lecture. mr ong is away so no tutorial.
i want to kill and burn.

school started on monday. afternoon classes. won't be late. went back home to change into shoes cause elective is in Q710. drenched. escaflowne was home when i reached. an hour lecture and another hour of tutorial. home sweet home. messaged mel if she was coming home for dinner. she said she's talking to escaflowne. was surprised escaflowne is awake. when i left for school she was sleeping.
mel was not hungry, jonathan's not coming back for dinner. we wanted to have kfc for dinner but was lazy to go out and buy so escaflowne made prawn mee. love the soup.
had lecture at 9am. martin hang, the lecturer for essentials of business management have the 10 minute rule. business people. confirm late every tuesday cause the buses will be super crowded. the empty bus arrives at 8.45am.
went down to peace centre to collect the refund but the lady only work before 1pm and after 4.30pm. did not want to wait so long. went back.
raining. bag got wet again.

3nd day of gown collection

today is the third day of gown collection. tomorrow is the last day. everyone will be expecting a crowd.
approximately 100 odd people whose deposit is S$100 had collected their cheque. into the last cheque for S$100.
as for deposit of S$30. there are still a large number who have yet to come. either they have forgotten, too busy to come or they want to donate the money.
was on going home. took 151. there was 2 humans sitting at the back. they were talking loudly and one was laughing especially loud. could hear him even when my music was blasting in my ears.
tried to draw a cartoon depicting his behaviour. but failed. shall put up my failed drawing.
it is more like stick man cause i cannot draw humans.

THANKS Nicky for giving me her salad and cocktail sausage. had that for dinner cause its 2100 hrs by the time i reach home.
took 151. alighted opposit SCGS then took 153. it saves me 15 minutes. but that is cause i did not have to wait a long time for the bus.

nicky and i concluded that people in nus are stupid.
i'm issue cheques so i have to check their i/c then i have to record the cheque number and all. so i say " Please write your name as in your bank account. Over here. *use finger/pen to point at the line (say Pay in front)
majority of the graduates hear as "Write your bank account number over here."
Then they will tell me they cannot remember their a/c number.
i repeat myself "Please write your number according to your bank a/c."

Me: Do you have a driver's license or matriculation card or any card that has your photo?

weekends!!

gown collection started on saturday. there either be a large crowd or nobody. this year, the first day start on a weekend. it is going to last for another five days.
weekdays should have lesser people cause everyone is working. some get their elderly parents to help them return their gowns as well as collect their deposits.
have to key in the data into the excel sheet. but need to record the names into the cheque record book first.
it was really hot on saturday. had to bathe when i reach home.
watched my wife is a gangster 3. super funny.

started work on wednesday. nicky took over my job. she manage the paperwork. as for me, i took over escaflowne's job. had to frank cheques.
this year is rather boring.

one. cause we have to do the stuff in the main office.

two. azzlina is not there. she's stationed in the shop.

donna returned yesterday. was piling my rice bowl with dishes when she called. the first thing she said when i answered was "I HEAR ANIMES!!". i was stunned. could not recognize her voice. took me awhile to register. talked to her while eating.

watched goong S. only at episode 11. super duber slow.

started coffee prince on sunday. finished it in 2 days.

when we reported to work on wednesday. everyone could still remember me. that's besides the point.

saw azzlina's computer wallpaper. is a picture of the casts of coffee prince. talked abit on that. got down to business.

Saturday

met jiawen and donna. went sunshine plaza. they re-ordered the anime calendars and donna bought code geass and vampire knight merchandises. saw pretty pretty stuff.

went kino. donna bought books and manga. saw a magazine on psp. the cover was the limited edition of crisis core psp.

donna has crisis core. the animation is awesome.

had a latest addition to my collection.

she's so cute. she shared the same birth date as me. hee!

it's a monday again.
watching another korean drama: Coffee Prince.
could not stand to watch Hello Miss cause the "evil" people are really evil and it's also kind of boring.
Coffee Prince has one epsisode more than Hello Miss but Japanese Drama are still the best. Reason: they are short.
was talking to donna via skype. saw crisis core limited edition psp. OMG!! it's so PRETTY! i want but it cosr S$600 plus plus plus. cannot remeber the price. it will be released on 13 september.
AAAAAHHHHH!! i want!!!
have been getting up at 11 plus everyday. not sure if i can get up for work. haizzz!!!

it's the end of the week. the children are going back to school. am starting work on wed. argh! need to call lao shi. i think my pdl expired. need to ask from lao shi.
completed love truly. now watching hello miss. another korean drama. there is a good ending. if escaflowne watched it, most probably have a good ending. super funny. the lead actress is Lee Da Hae. She was the lead in My Girl. a rather short drama. at least it is not draggy compared to love truly. was fast forwarding the boring parts.
will have to start watching my animes.
my cantonese shows too.
need to sleep early. have to get up early soon.
